There’s more on the Hegseth hearing….when asked if could name one member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations(ASEAN), and describe what type of agreement the U.S. had with the countries and how many nations were in the bloc, Hegseth responded that he didn’t know the exact number of ASEAN nations, but that “I know we have allies in South Korea and Japan, and in AUKUS with Australia,” referring to a pact among the U.S., Australia and Britain. None of those countries are in ASEAN. We have a strong military alliance with ASEAN, we depend on the alliance to maintain shipping safety around China.

When Hegseth was asked if he would turn the US military against US citizens protesting, as Trump asked Mark Esper to do in DC…”can’t we just shoot them in the leg?”…Hegseth refused to answer the question, instead saying that he “didn’t think Trump” would “ask him to do anything illegal”

Dec 31st, 2024 - The DOJ is fighting today to keep a Virginia man, Brad Spafford, behind bars until trial for firearms violations after the FBI made “the largest seizure of homemade explosives in history” at his property earlier this month

Dec 31st, 2024 - Trump is acting outside of the law in an attempt to have the Supreme Court overreach its authority and suspend the looming Tik Tok ban that takes effect Jan 19th, until after he is sworn in as Musk’s vice president

  • The law, if upheld by the Supreme Court, will ban Tik Tok in the US on Jan 19th if the platform doesn’t cut ties with Beijing before the date

  • In his brief filing, he, currently a private citizen, gives no constitutional grounds why it should be delayed, his filing states: “President Trump alone possesses the consummate dealmaking expertise, the electoral mandate, and the political will to negotiate a resolution to save the platform while addressing the national security concerns expressed by the government”

Dec 31st, 2024 - In a brutish act of irony, John Roberts, one of the Supreme Court grifters who made the highest court, and all other courts by default, servile to Trump and all future Presidents committing acts of treason or whatever the fuck else they want, is whining about “judge intimidation” by political officials in his year end report

  • Of course judge intimidation is abhorrent, by anyone, political officials or otherwise. The time to stand up for the independence and sovereignty of the courts against political officials would have been when you were asked if Presidents should have absolute immunity

Jan 1st, 2025 - So this is the new year. Same as it ever was. Absolute tragedy struck the heart of New Orleans overnight, a man driving a truck through pedestrians on Bourbon Street in the French Quarter, killing 14 and critically injuring/maiming many others

Jan 2nd, 2024 - Even with all of the known, public information and the briefings that an incoming President gets, Trump continues to spew immigration rhetoric in regards to the New Orleans attack

  • Trump today: “With the Biden “Open Border’s Policy” I said, many times during Rallies, and elsewhere, that Radical Islamic Terrorism, and other forms of violent crime, will become so bad in America that it will become hard to even imagine or believe. That time has come, only worse than ever imagined.”

Trump loves to drone on about the terrorist threat from the “illegals” that have crossed the border during the Biden Admin. Here’s the actual data:

  • 0.014% of migrants who had tried to cross the border in fiscal year 2024, or fewer than 2 out of every 10,000, were on the terrorist watchlist. The total number who have tried to cross during the Biden administration is just over 1,700. During the Trump presidency, it was 1,400

Jan 2nd, 2024 - There are reports that ex-Syrian President Assad may have been poisoned just after his exile into Russia

Jan 2nd, 2024 - JD Vance shares Musk’s op-ed post backing the Nazi sympathizing, German right-wing party

Jan 3rd, 2024 - In a party dominated by men, men’s ideas, misogyny, Liz Cheney continues to be one of the few with balls, clapping back at Trump and his threats against her

Jan 3rd, 2024 - Mike Johnson narrowly holds on to the Speaker job after initially not having the votes due to multiple GOP holdouts

  • This occurred only after Trump, from the golf course, spoke personally by phone with the holdouts

Jan 3rd, 2024 - Reports today that Stephen Miller’s legal group, America First Legal, sent letters to dozens of officials across the country, warning of possible incarceration or a civil RICO case if they follow their local policies meant to protect immigrants. Fear, intimidation, weaponizing the legal system. Trumpism.

Jan 3rd, 2024 - Judge Merchan announces date for Trump sentencing for his 34 felony convictions in the hush money case will be Jan 10th.

  • Trump is a convicted felon, the first President in US history to take office owning that ignominy

Jan 3rd, 2024 - Trump, while announcing his nominee for deputy Middle East envoy, scolds his nominee for deputy Middle East envoy in the same post

  • He states, “Early on Morgan fought me for three years, but hopefully has learned her lesson” and that “hopefully” she’ll be an asset to her director

  • He also says “let’s see what happens”. A President-elect, saying let’s see what happens regarding his own nominee?! This is his conspicuous attempt at hedging if shit goes wrong. We’ve seen him do it over and over, from debates to abortion to grocery prices to peaceful transfer of power

  • He also used the “let’s see how it plays out” line in regards to whether the flags would be at half-staff honoring the late President Carter during his inauguration

Jan 3rd, 2024 - Elon Musk tweeted or re-tweeted over 40 times in 24 hours regarding “grooming gangs” and girls being raped in the UK, occurrences from over a decade ago, deliberately attempting to undermine Kier Starmer, liberal PM, and destabilize another longstanding democracy

  • Musk’s tweets are inflammatory and riddled with misinformation, claiming 250,000 girls “were and still are being systematically raped” and it’s “still being hidden by the media”, so…completely on brand

Jan 3rd, 2024 - Guess what, more Elon. His level of grift can only be matched by Trump’s, and today he’s suggesting positivity on X, announcing that there will be an “algorithm tweak” claiming that “too much negativity is being pushed”

  • What’s a word for hypocrisy that is main-lining steroids, testosterone, amphetamines, Ketamine, creatine, and kratom? MAGA?

  • Musk has claimed over and over to be a “free speech absolutist”

  • Musk has “tweaked” the X algorithm previously to boost right wing propaganda, now his bond servant has been elected and he wants to tamp down negative political rhetoric

Jan 4th, 2024 - Pulitzer Prize winning cartoonist for the Washington Post for 15 years, Ann Telnaes, announced her resignation today after her satirical cartoon depiction of the tech-oligarchs and Disney whoring themselves out to Trump was censored and rejected by the Jeff Bezos owned paper

  • She had never before had a cartoon censored

  • Trump today: “Liz Cheney has been exposed in the Interim Report, by Congress, of the J6 Unselect Committee as having done egregious and unthinkable acts of crime…She is so unpopular and disgusting, a real loser!”

  • The “exposure”, the “crime”, for all those that don’t know, that VP Trump and the MAGAnauts want to prosecute Cheney for is suggesting Cassidy Hutchison, a White House aide to Chief Of Staff Mark Meadows, hire her own counsel instead of following the counsel of a Trump Legal Defense Fund attorney who wanted her to commit perjury to provide testimony favorable to Trump

  • Leading up to Hutchison’s testimony, she was pestered by MAGA colleagues to show her loyalty to Trump

  • “Hutchinson testified that Trump and Meadows were told some individuals were carrying weapons, including firearms, and therefore could not clear magnetometers to enter the rally. Trump insisted that he didn't care if his supporters had weapons and tried to order the magnetometers removed, saying "They're not here to hurt me””

  • All of this is occurring against the backdrop of Trump supporting Gaetz, who actually committed the crimes of rape, buying and using hard drugs, and sex solicitation
